Indexim Utama was established in 1977 in Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, supplying logs to the wood industry.
In 1977, it was granted a government permit for timber forest product utilization for 73,000 ha in North Barito, Central Kalimantan, and renewed its permit in 1999 securing 52,480 ha forest concession for 55 years of utilization.
